What is it that you make and what skills do you use? I create motivational digital art. Digital Art is an artistic work that uses digital technology as an essential part of the creative or presentation process.

How long have you been ‘creating’? I am creating art as a hobby, for more than 30 years.

What inspired you to start your business? As a profession I was working as a Counsellor / Life Coach for 15 years, when my partner who is a photographer started his new business, and needed a graphic artist to put the finishing touches on his products and frame them. I volunteered, it seemed like a good idea. And I struck gold! I fall in love with the possibilities of digital art. I am a self-thought graphic artist. While I was learning the ins and out of graphic design, I started to create motivational pictures and built up an eclectic and extensive collection, there is something for everyone… these are the products I love to bring to the people at the Handmade Expo Bundamba. Is it a full time/ part time/hobby or business? The last 5 years I am working as a freelance graphic artist. I am one of those lucky ones whose work is her passion. As they say I never work a day in my life. As a passion or recreational activity, I create the products I sell. Also working with clients as an expressive art therapist.

Where do you sell your creations? I sell my inspirational graphic art online, and in November I start at the Handmade Expo Bundamba

What makes what you do special or different? I believe my artwork is unique, they are bursting with colour, filled with energy and meaning. You can find personalised collection of sweet pictures for baby’s room, girl or boy. Cool inspirational pictures for teenagers, and there are funny pictures for families or wine lovers and beautiful pictures for garden lovers. I am selling on the market A4 and A3 sizes, but every picture can be ordered in any size, and delivered in 5 days.

What is the most rewarding part of what you do? When someone look at the picture, their eyes lit up, they take a deep breath and say, ‘I love it’, then I know I struck a chord in their heart. I managed to capture and express in my work what they wanted to see.

What is your favourite product that you make? Every one of my picture have a special connection to me. I can say without being cheesy, that part of my soul is worked into each picture, and they were inspired by my own feeling or someone close to me.

Do you teach classes or workshops? Currently I do individual sessions as an expressive art therapist. Expressive Art Therapy is not art as such, but a form of counselling where the client able to externalise their emotions through various forms of art applications. I am specialised in Journaling. It is suitable for all ages.
