GOODBYE FACEBOOK :(

Hi Everyone

Due to unprovoked harassment and cyber bullying, We have had legal advice to close down some of our social networking pages, for me that means The Handmade Expo on Facebook.

We can still keep you up to date on the blog and you can send a friend request to my personal FB page...Liesa Gifford (which will be strictly monitored).

If you would like to be informed directly regarding The Handmade Expo, we would love for you to email us and we can pop you on our data base to receive updates personally...our email address is thehandmadeexpo@optusnet.com.au

We have other massive ways to keep you informed! At this stage our advice only relates to Facebook and Twitter.

We have also been advised to stop following blogs publicly and facebook pages that our cyber bully is following. We are still reading all our favourite blogs though (and following privately) and leaving comments to our friends and colleagues.
So if we dissapear off your blog, you'll know why.

We never would have thought this possible in this Handmade world or in the small business world for that matter, but there you have it and really, there is only so much harassment/bullying that one person can take. So, we are upset that we have had to do this, but really, this is the only adult way to keep away from it and to try and prevent it occurring.

Please correspond personally if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them!

We will blog on a happier creative topic soon!

From Liesa, Micky & Miriam

So sorry to hear this!
I noticed yesterday that Bubbachenille had gone from my Twitter account.
I love the handmade markets and have been into your lovely shop, it is awful to think that cyber bullying has been happening to you!!

So sorry to hear that. No-one needs to deal with that though, so totally understand. Hope you feel supported by all the "normal" people that follow the Handmade Expo and your shop on line. xxxxxx

I am so sorry to hear this is still going on. Chin up girls, you know in your hearts you have done nothing but good for this community and Handmadies across that land. Thank you for all the good you do, I know you put a lot of hard work and your heart and soul into helping creative folk get their wares out into the public.

This is truly amazing that someone would put the effort into bullying you at all...What a terrible bee in their bonnet they must have! I hope you recognise that you are doing some wonderful work and that as aptly put before by Laurie that there are us *normal* people who appreciate what you do...expose the situation for all it's worth, don't spend time worrying about it..these situations usually tire themselves out...

Oh dear me girls, what a horrible world that is emerging with this Cyber Space nonsence. I actually hate Facebook, and find it not that easy to work with. Keep up the very very good work that you do with your Blog, even though Brian and I no longer sell our Dinosaurs, I open your blog each and every day as in the short time we sold our product, The Handmade folk made us feel like a family.
Hang in their everyone, sooner or later it will be a caee of "What goes around, comes around"
