https://www.facebook.com/bushwalkcandles/

Your name: Arabella Lubbers

Your business name and facebook/website name and link: Bushwalk Candles   https://www.facebook.com/bushwalkcandles/

The suburb/town you live in now: Hervey Bay

What is it that you make and what skills do you use?: I make small batch handmade beeswax candles scented with Australian bush scents and oils using local Hervey Bay beeswax

What inspired you to start your business?: I love product design and homewares and I saw a niche in the market for Australian scented candles and melts

How long have you been creating?: I have been making candles for about 3 years, before that I studied Interior Designer and renovated houses as a hobby

Is it a full time/part time hobby or business?: It started as a part time hobby, but is getting towards full time business quite quickly

Where do you sell your creations?: I sell my beeswax candles online, at handmade markets, at the Harbour Gift Gallery and soon at The Handmade Expo in Hervey Bay!

What makes you so special or different?: My candles reflect the many different scents of the Australian bush and rekindle treasured memories of long bush walks and camping weekends away.

What is the most rewarding part of what you do?: Hearing the brilliant feedback I get about my candles and packaging, and being part of an amazing creative marketplace where handmade means you buy from a person with a name, and we thank you for it.

What is your favourite product to make?: My signature beeswax candle, Bush Walk.

Do you teach classes or workshops?: Not for candle making, but I do have some tutorials coming up for product photography. It is so important to take great photographs of your products, and the smallest of tips can make the biggest differences.
