Re-Stash Craft Appeal at The Handmade Expo

Hi Everyone

The Handmade Expo TEAM has had their thinking caps on with trying to think of ways that we can help people effected by the devastating floods...

So, we have come up with the Re-Stash Craft Appeal. To get crafters/designers/artists, etc back on track with passing on donated craft supplies to these very amazing and strong people that lost their "studios"/"Stashes" in the Floods.

What we are doing is having "bins" available at The Handmade Expo on Saturday 19th (Ipswich Turf Club, Brisbane Road, Bundamba) from 8am-2pm for people to donate their unwanted or unused supplies. We will then make these "bins" available the week following the market at Handmade Heaven and Mimmi's for people to rummage through to get them back on the creative track...

So...this is where you all come in. If you have some supplies that you would like to donate, we would love that and we will see you at The Handmade Expo...

Oh and here is the event on FACEBOOK if you would like to RSVP xox

YOU ALL ROCK

Thanks heaps
Liesa, MIcky & Miriam

December Market Wrap up - with lots of photos

Hi Everyone.

So, the last Handmade Expo has been and gone for 2010 and what a great day.

The market saw over 130 stalls set up and sell their handmade, handgrown and handbaked items.
The rain held off between 8am-2pm (started pouring at 2:10pm) and we still stand by our theory "that is just don't rain at our market"....LOL

We have loads of photos that we are going to upload, but we wanted to take this time to wish you ALL a very merry xmas and a happy new year. The next market is on Feb 19th..same time, same place...but you will hear from us before then.

The Handmade Expo - November Market Wrap up

Hi Everyone

We have 1 word to describe The Handmade Expo Market on Saturday.

AMAZING

It was the best market we have ever had for customers and stallholders alike.
We had over 130 stalls and over 2,500 people come through the gate to enjoy the market offerings which included steam train rides, Soulman singing his great soul music, great food, flowers, fruit and veg and just a MASSIVE array of lovely handmade things, oh not forgetting Wayne the Fireman, (we are sure he attracted a few people on the day). Thanks to Mayor Paul Pisasale, for supporting us once again, and also to Councillor Andrew Antonelli for coming to judge our Christmas Stall winner.
For those of you who do not know who this is, we are proud to announce that Dorothy and Brian from the timber dinosaurs won. Did you see the Massive Rex dressed as santa?
Dorothy and Brian chose a local charity - Ipswich Hospice to be the recipient of the $100 donation from The Handmade Expo....

Now for some amazing photos...we would like to thank Paula from Minta Entertainment for roaming the market and taking professional photos...

There will be plenty more photos to come, so keep posted for those.

Thanks to everyone involved in making Saturday AMAZING.
