Hi Everyone
We just wanted to let you know of a great opportunity that has come up under The Handmade Expo banner...
The Handmade Expo is taking out a 9m x 3m site at the Ipswich Show in May (13th, 14th & 15th)...
The Ipswich Show is a massive 3 day event with approx 25,000 potential customers looking and potentially purchasing your items.
We did this event back in 2009 and found it to be a successful day for 90% of people involved.
We have made 2 packages available...
Package #1
$170
Selling and promoting your product and business...Now, you don't need to be there to sell your product, we will do this on your behalf. If you take us up on this offer, we will require your items to be either dropped off at the showgrounds on the Thursday 12th or if you were to send your product, we will need to receive it on or before the Wednesday 11th May. We are not taking a commission on sales...everything you sell, you get back..We will require you to price your items (perhaps with your business card attached).
We would require approx $500 worth of stock from you to make it worth your while. This will give us stock to "restock" with all the time.
Package #2
$50
This package is promotion only. So a whole stack of your business cards or flyers which we will place on a promotions table for potentially 25,000 customers to take..Once again, if you would like to do this offer, we will require your promotional material to be dropped off at the showgrounds on the Thursday 12th or if you were to send your promo material, we will require it in our hot little hands on or before Wednesday 11th May...
We believe that this is a great opportunity to sell and promote yourselves and would love to help you....
If you are interested in either of these, we will require your payment on or before the 22nd April (we have extended payment date)
You can direct deposit into
GIFFORD, BAIN, HASTED
BSB: 064417
ACC: 10651469
Please use your name and show as a reference...
We hope that you are keen to be involved.

March Market Wrap Up...
Although the rain shortened the market, it didn't dampen the spirits of 74 stallholders and all their fans who came along on Saturday.
We are so proud of our wonderful stallholders who set up as if the sun was shining !
We had so many customers through the gate too, which was awe inspiring to know we have so many followers.
It seems rain hail or shine The Handmade Expo fans are still going to come to get their fix of all things handmade.
Here's a sample of the market and a snippet of what to expect on 16th April !
Thanks again everyone.

Long overdue Post
Hi Everyone....
Yes, we have been overdue for a recent post. With the recent devastation around Ipswich and the Lockyer Valley, we have been a little sidetracked...
We had our first market back for 2011 back on the 19th Feb...It was an amazing day. We had a few things going on with the Re-Stash Craft Appeal which went amazingly. The donations were huge and the crafters who rummaged through all the donations were very appreciative to all of you...We also raised around $300 for the Ipswich Mayors Community Fund as well which has gone to Flood effected families in the region...So, a big thanks to everyone who donated....
Our next market is on Saturday 19th March. We have around the 80 stalls booked in for this market (and will probably increase over the next week). Our Gourmet Fresh section is growing which is lovely so soon you will be able to get EVERYTHING you need at the market...including Fresh Produce, etc...
The Handmade Expo will also be having a site at the Ipswich Show in May to sell and promote handmade as well as The Handmade Expo. We did this event back in 2009 and it was a huge success...talking to thousands and thousands of people and handing our thousands and thousands of brochures...We are looking for "handmadies" that would like to be involved with this event, so if you are interested, scoot us an email to thehandmadeexpo@optusnet.com.au.
So, thanks heaps for your patience in blogland and we hope to keep our blog updated more often.

Donations starting to come in
Hi Everyone
Wow, the response for the Re-Stash Craft Appeal @ The Handmade Expo has been amazing. We already have 2 very large donations in Handmade Heaven. A big thanks to Giggle Fairy Designs and Angelic Aspirations for their generosity.

These donations are available to rummage through in Handmade Heaven now...Do you know a "handmadie" that lost a little or a lot in the recent floods and needs these items to get them back to their creative space? Please let them know that we have a huge range of scrapbooking supplies in Handmade Heaven for them to rummage through...
We are also stoked to be in the Queensland Times today (page 7) promoting this wonderful initiative....
