Market Wrap Up - The Handmade Expo - July
Hi Everyone
Wow...what another huge and successful market. We are so proud of everything that has been achieved with our market. The wonderful stallholders, the wonderful customers. It really is amazing....The local and handmade spirit is alive at the Ipswich Turf Club EVERY MONTH...
We all work so very hard every month to bring The Handmade Expo to the South East Queensland Community...not just us as the Co-ordinators, but all of the Stallholders as well who take it upon themselves to not only help promote the market but to rock up from 5:30am to start setting up their space, not knowing what the day will bring. We all must be doing something right as we are celebrating our 2nd birthday at our next market (August 21st). We, as the Co-ordinators are always on the ball, 10 steps ahead trying to make the market bigger and better every month and every month we seem to be succeeding. So, really, instead of this being a market wrap up (which it sort of is)! it is a THANK YOU to everyone who supports The Handmade Expo.
Ok, so back to it...we just want to share some photos with you. Oh and an awesome celebrity came to our market on Saturday. We love her and she is a huge supporter of The Handmade Expo. Thanks Ali from River 94.9 for coming on Saturday...Here is a photo to prove it everyone...
We will certainly be in touch before the next market....until then, happy creating.

STALLHOLDER PROFILE - FUDGE du Ciel
Hi Everyone
A big congrats to Debbie Smart from Fudge du Ciel. You have been chosen to be the stallholder of the week and also be featured in the Ipswich News and Westside News.
Debbie has also been with The Handmade Expo since DAY #1...
Here is her profile...
FUDGE du CIEL (a taste if heaven)
How long have you been creating for?
For about 3.5 years
What inspires and motivates you to create?
The customers and their pleasure of my product and also the peoples enjoyment of my product
What is your favourite item that you make?
Coconut ice because it looks pretty especially when I put it into the beautiful glass jars and use them in lolly bars for weddings and corporate functions.
Where is your studio/dedicated creative space?
We use a dedicated commercial kitchen and space at our home - our premises are one of our top goals.
What is your most popular item within your collection?
It is all equally popular...which really amazes me.
Do you have any new products in the works?
I try and think of new things all the time but then seem to go back to just the fudges as it is the most popular and sells well with no waste.
Where do you see yourself in 2 years time?
In retail, wholesale and internet sales. I am working towards my magical outlet of "all things fudge" and that heavenly experience.
What do you love about The Handmade Expo? Why do you keep coming back?
Everything is special because it is Handmade so you see how much love goes into all the products. The Handmade Expo supports local and small business which I am also passionate about. I keep coming back because of the lovely stallholders, customers and organisers, Liesa, Micky & MIriam.
Thanks so much Debbie for completing the online stallholder questionnaire. If you would like to have your business/hobby up in lights, all you need to do is complete the questionnaire...You might see yourself in the newspaper too...HOW COOL :)

June market - BEEN AND GONE and FABULOUS
Hi Everyone
Wow, wow, wow. What an amazing market on Saturday. The response was awesome...Our out of Ipswich advertising must have worked, PLUS all the awesome contributions made by stallholders and also by customers on facebook, twitter, blogs, etc was amazing. We have never worked so hard EVER and it has paid off. So....
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all the stallholders who came, promoted the expo and had a great day. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to the truck loads of customers from near and far who came and support the market and left with a huge smile on their faces promising to come back on July 17th. All we could hear all day was WOW WOW WOW....
We would like to share some photos of this great day. The weather was very kind to us, the Steam Train is proving to be popular, not to mention the woodfire pizzas and satay bbq. We had a large array of new stallholders this month plus our wonderful and loyal regulars as well. I don't think 1 customer walked out with nothing.
Now it is time to start promoting the July 17th market. We have a facebook page which you can "like" HERE PLUS we have an event listing on Facebook which you can share from HERE Every little bit counts and Saturday just proved it...
You will certainly hear from us throughout the month, but we were really stoked with the support and hope to make the July market EVEN BIGGER...
